Roots Zine Issue #2 is out now!

Roots Zine Issue # 2

  • ROOTS ZINE #1 'Movement'

Our first issue of Roots Zine is a corker!

This is where it all began, motivated by a desire to share the stories of our wonderful community, both physically here in Porthtowan, Cornwall and wider afield through spirit. Back in 2020, and after such an overwhelming response to our call for submissions, we managed to condense our community project into a delightful 24 zine. Contributions were wide ranging and include photography, creative writing, poetry, recipes, illustrations, community articles and more… This first issue has created a template for us future issues to follow, led by the community and organically evolving over time.

‘Roots Zine embodies the ethos of the Eco Park….inclusion, understanding, respect, the love of our environment and ecosystem, music, food, people…finding joy in the DIY culture.’  Tim Stirrup, founding Director of the Eco Park

  • ROOTS ZINE #2 'Freedom' *OUT NOW!*

The second issue of Roots Zine, following the theme of ‘Freedom’ and a bumper Tropical Pressure Festival special is OUT NOW!!!

For this issue we invited contributions both from those involved in Tropical Pressure Festival as well as the Roots Press community. We are all one big family after all, sharing an ethos of inclusion, understanding, respect, the love of our environment, music, food and people.

Take a moment to kick back and quietly enjoy our collection of words and images, stories and journeys (each generously gifted by contributors) connected to the theme of ‘Freedom’ and to this magical event where we come together in a field in Cornwall with the most amazing music!

Nothing needs to be too polished, this is DIY culture don’t forget!
